Ever since Ubaldo Jiménez pitched a no-hitter on April 17th against the Atlanta Braves you knew 2010 would be a special season for the Colorado Rockies.
It was the first no-hitter in the 18-year history of the storied baseball franchise. Remember the Blake Street Bombers? Now the Rockies play U-ball (the nickname for Jiménez’s four-seam fastball).
Everybody knows about the 10 game win streak that saw the Rockies sweep the Padres, Reds and Diamondbacks. The Rockies seem to be playing with a we can’t lose attitude.
Some people say Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki willed the Rockies to victory over the Padres recently. Whatever it is the Rockies are winning and that gets people talking.
