The Colorado Rockies’ – For years, Denver Baseball Fans dreamed of having a Major League ball club; their patience paid off in 1993. City efforts paid off and The Colorado Rockies were created as an expansion franchise. They began playing in Coors Field, a state of the art ballpark in 1995. The Rockies advanced to the playoffs in 1995 but were eliminated in the first round. In 2007, the Rockies’ advanced to the playoffs and won the NL Championship Series.
