Broncos Control AFC – Their Destiny

Brock OsweillerThe Denver Broncos have suddenly found themselves in a position to control the AFC and their own destiny. With the Patriots losing to the Eagles on Sunday the Broncos have leap-frogged them into the #2 spot in the AFC race with only the Bengals (10-2) ahead of them.

Here’s the kicker. The Broncos play the Bengals in three weeks, at home, on Monday night. Can you say #1 seed in the AFC?

The Broncos have the best defense in the AFC if not the entire NFL. As much as Cincinnati fans want to believe they have a shot at beating Denver, they don’t. Andy Dalton and company just don’t have what it takes to put up enough points to beat the Broncos on their home field, face it.

Ok, we might be getting ahead of ourselves here, but are we? Denver plays three of their next four games at home. First up is the Raiders, followed up with a trip to Pittsburgh, then at home against Cincinnati, then the Chargers. Do you see Denver losing any of those games? I don’t.

Brock Osweiller has been more than adequate filling in for the injured Peyton Manning who could return later this season if not in the playoffs. What happens if Manning comes back healthy and gets the offense playing at a high level again? Other teams don’t even want to think about that!

For now, it’s time to show the NFL who’s boss. It’s time to Brock n’ Roll.
