We stepped out to Vita Restaurant recently to enjoy American fare from their lunch menu. We sat on the rooftop patio for this beautiful Colorado Saturday afternoon.
The patio was packed, mostly with young 20 somethings celebrating St. Patricks day. We found a table and asked for menus. Our drink was not taken until after our lunch was ordered, that made for a long wait. I was all hoping for tablecloths of some kind. I think maybe the outside is geared for drinking and the inside is for dining. The inside was super plush, looks great for a date!
We ordered:
Grilled Ham n’ Cheese – Black forest ham, Gruyere, romaine, red onion, Panini bread
This was delicious, moist and tasty. The fries were not too memorable, somewhat dry.
Applewood smoked Bacon and Cheddar Burger – Cheddar cheese, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato, bacon, served on a Challah bun
Looks delicious right!? I ordered it medium well and it came out well done – so dry. So sad for a gorgeous cheeseburger to be so dry. Same with the fries, over cooked.
Sliders – Shaved Roast Beef, spicy Argentinian salsa
These were delicious! The homemade chips were crisp and fresh.
Antipasto – Fontina, Marinated Artichokes and Olives with Fresh Bread
Fresh, delicious, the perfect balance of cheese, olives and bread!
