Tim Tebow – Too Good For the NFL

Tim TebowImmediately after the New York Jets released popular quarterback, Tim Tebow, the NFL began sending out a clear message: Tim Tebow is too good for the NFL. Okay, maybe not too good for the NFL but certainly he was too good for the New York Jets.

Tim Tebow has a WINNING record as a starting QUARTERBACK in the league and he holds an NFL playoff passing record that John Elway never held and that likely will not be broken by Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or any other quarterback in the near future and that record is most yards per PASS.

But wait, they said Tebow can’t throw, but his college record and NFL record say otherwise. I was always told don’t listen to what “they say,” and from where the fans are sitting it appears some NFL coaches (Rex Ryan) can’t coach. Because Tim Tebow can play quarterback in the NFL and has actually proven it.

It was Mark Sanchez that led the league in turnovers which is the biggest no-no in the game. Cam Newton can’t find the playoffs much less win a playoff game but nobody is trying to run him out of the league yet.

Doesn’t the firing of Jets offensive coordinator Tony Sporano and the Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum after the Jets 6-10 season display more proof that the Jets problems were not Tim Tebow, how could it be, they did not play him according to his strengths, at all.

The more Tebow had success in his limited role in New York, early on in the season, the more the Jets shied away from playing him. The more Sanchez struggled as the season went on, the less they played Tim. Mind boggling stuff!

Some say the Jets didn’t know how to use him, that’s fair, apparently they didn’t, but it seems more likely they didn’t want to use him. Even Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin weighed in on the Jets issue after they traded away Darrelle Revis saying, “It is hard to be a fan of the New York Jets.”

Former Broncos offensive lineman Mark Schlereth, who has been a critic of Tim’s, tweeted that the Jets are “Bush league.”

And, of course, Skip Bayless had this to say:

Tim Tebow was “Excited,” to be a New York Jet, too bad they didn’t want him, traded for him, but never really wanted to play him.
