Broncos Idol Like Search For Head Coach

Denver BroncosThe nation is well aware that the Denver Broncos are searching for their next head coach after firing Josh McDaniel’s during a tumultous season. John Elway joined Twitter shortly after becoming the Broncos new Vice President of Football Operations and quickly went to work interviewing head coaching candidates.

Eric StudesvilleEric Studesville, the current Broncos Interim Head Coach, interviewed for the position. So has Perry Fewell, Rick Dennison, Dirk Koetter and John Fox.

Whether more candidates will be considered or if that completes the list will be known as soon as John Elway tweets it.

Out of the candidates so far I’m not sure which one is best for Denver. That’s for the brass ring to decide. I’d throw my vote in for Dennison. If he’s ready, he’s ready. Sometimes you have to give a guy a shot to find out.

John Fox brings the most NFL head coaching experience out of the candidates but that also means he might command a higher salary, which is an issue for the Broncos right now because they are paying two former coaches as well.

The fans in Denver don’t exactly seem thrilled with any of the choices. It’s possible that because Jim Harbaugh was snatched up immediately by the Niner’s, then Ron Rivera went to the Panthers, the Broncos fans feel like the best coach is getting away. Don’t be so sure about that.

Fox has the most NFL head coaching experience so let’s take his word for it when he says “there’s a lot of variables that I think it’s important that everyody is on the same page.”

It’s just possible that Harbaugh, Rivera, Mularkey and Williams were not good fits to begin with so keep your head up Bronco fans, the Denver Broncos Idol like search for a head coach will continue until they get their man.
