Should the Broncos draft a quarterback like Andrew Luck in the 2011 NFL draft? Now that we’ve got to see whether or not Tim Tebow could be a full time QB in the league I’d say the answer is a resounding no.
Even without seeing Tebow get his first NFL start my answer would have been no. The Broncos need help on defense, that’s no secret.
They have #1 draft picks in Tebow, Knowshon Moreno, Ryan Clady and Demaryius Thomas all offensive players.
It’s time to focus on that defense and getting it back to Orange Crush status. Raiders full back Marcel Reese scored a little too easily on a 73 yard catch n run that put the Raiders up 30-20 and helped seal the game for Oakland (pictured below).
The Broncos had a chance to beat the Raiders and I know I’m not alone saying they got out coached by the Raiders in the 2nd half. The Broncos once again failed to make adjustments and probably played a little too cautious with Tebow by not letting him throw more.
Tebow went 8 for 16 passing for 138 yards with one 33 yard TD to Brandon Lloyd and a would be touchdown dropped by Lance Ball in the endzone.
On the ground Tebow rushed for 78 yards on 8 carries including a 40 yard touchdown run the longest by any Broncos quarterback in history. That’s 9.8 yards per carry folks. And Tebow became the third player in NFl history to throw a TD pass at least 30 yards and run for a score of at least 40 yards in the same game.
We know Tim Tebow can play. Now let’s get him some help.
