Hot Local Produce Market Opens 2nd Location: Heavenly Harvest Produce

heavenly_harest_collage

The best trip we have made in a while.  We ventured out to a cute neighborhood just north of Edgewater.

We were on the hunt for FRESH produce and we heard a rumor that  produce from Heavenly Harvest was the best!

The minute you walk in, you feel welcome.  A super friendly staff greets you and excitedly offers a sampling of their juiciest fare.

We sampled cherries and watermelon.

There is a good variety of produce, we stocked up.  The best thing about Heavenly Harvest?

THE PRICES!  WOW!

Are you tired, like me, of spending a lot on produce at the big stores only to be disappointed?

Excerpt from their website:

Heavenly Harvest Produce is a family owned and run business, founded by Russ and Kathy McKee.  I (Russ) have been in the produce business since I was 8 years old…literally!  My father and uncle were farmers, and they taught me the ropes at a very young age.  As a young child, I would drag a piece of plywood down a quarter-mile driveway and set up my own little produce stand on the side of the road, selling excess produce from the farm.  As an adult, I have over 30 year’s experience in the produce industry.  Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many, many suppliers and professionals in the industry, allowing me to be able to pass significant savings along to the community. It is because of this that my wife Kathy and I decided to start our own produce company, providing top quality produce much cheaper than any local supermarket.
